Residents can apply for property tax deferral

- —Staff reports

The Colorado Property Tax Deferral Program offers a lowinterest loan to help residents across the state manage how they pay off their property taxes.

Boulder County residents can apply for the program through April 1. In the past, only elderly people and military personnel could apply for the program. Now, anyone can apply whose property assessment has gone up more than 4 percent in the last two years. The property must be owner-occupied and all taxes prior to 2024 must be paid in full.
