No. 15 Baylor tops No. 7 Kansas, 82-74

Rayj Dennis had 19 points and 10 assists, Jayden Nunn scored 18 points with consecutiv­e fastbreak layups in a key run for No. 15 Baylor and the Bears beat seventh-ranked Kansas 8274 on Saturday, handing the Jayhawks consecutiv­e losses for the first time this season.

Yves Missi added 17 points and fellow freshman Ja’kobe Walter had 11 for the Bears (21-8, 10-6 Big 12).

Nunn first drove the length of the court with 13:49 left after grabbing a defensive rebound. Then after 7-foot freshman Missi blocked a Kansas shot, Dennis passed ahead to a breaking Nunn for another layup. Those baskets 25 seconds apart ignited a 13-2 run that pushed Baylor’s lead from one to 12 with 10 minutes left.

NO. 12 CREIGHTON 89, NO. 5 MARQUETTE 75

Baylor Scheierman scored 26 points and made three straight 3-pointers late in the game to lead Creighton to a victory over Marquette.

Scheierman, a candidate for Big East player of the year who was playing his final game at CHI Health Center, had 16 rebounds for his eighth double-double in 10 games and 14th of the season.

NO. 6 ARIZONA 103, OREGON 83

Caleb Love scored 22 points, Oumar Ballo had his ninth straight double-double and Arizona closed out the Pac-12 era at Mckale Center with a beatdown of Oregon.

Keyed by Love and then Kylan Boswell, Arizona (23-6, 14-4) had a 17-point lead by the midpoint of the first half and didn’t let off the gas. The Wildcats shot 61% overall, went 14 for 25 from 3 and had 27 assists on 39 made field goals to finish the season 15-1 at home.

NO. 8 IOWA STATE 60, UCF 52

Tre King had 16 points and Iowa State had a late 11-0 run to beat UCF for its third straight victory and seventh in eight games.

Milan Momcilovic added 11 points for Iowa State (23-6, 12-4 Big 12). He hit a basket with 2:20 left to give the Cyclones a three-point lead.

NO. 9 NORTH CAROLINA 79, NC STATE 70

Harrison Ingram scored a season-high 22 points as North Carolina rallied from a 10-point deficit in the second half and beat North Carolina State.

NO. 10 DUKE 73, VIRGINIA 48

Kyle Filipowski scored 21 points and Duke shot 59% before halftime to build a huge lead and beat Virginia.

Tyrese Proctor added 15 points for the Blue Devils (23-6, 14-4 ACC), who stayed near the top of the league race primarily on the strength of a dominant first half. That included the 7-foot Filipowski outscoring Virginia through the opening 15 minutes as Duke rolled to a 25-point lead before halftime.

Reece Beekman had 18 points and Isaac Mckneely added 12 points for the Cavaliers (21-9, 127), who had been sliding in what is now suddenly turning into a steep fall. The Cavaliers have lost four of six. They shot just 30.9%, including making 5 of 17 3-pointers.

NO. 11 AUBURN 78, MISSISSIPP­I ST 63

Johni Broome had 17 points, Denver Jones scored 15, and Auburn bounced back from a road loss at fourth-ranked Tennessee with a 78-63 win over Mississipp­i State.

Auburn (22-7, 11-5 SEC) set the tone with its defense, as Mississipp­i State missed 17 of its first 19 shots. The Tigers never trailed, and they recorded nine blocks and eight steals in the victory.

Josh Hubbard finished with 23 points, including 20 in the second half, for the Bulldogs (19-10, 8-8). Tolu Smith added 14 points and 10 rebounds.

NO. 13 ILLINOIS 91, WISCONSIN 83

Marcus Domask had 31 points, Terrence Shannon Jr. scored 23 and Illinois continued its recent mastery of Wisconsin by beating the slumping Badgers.

Women

NO. 7 SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA 70, ARIZONA STATE 55

Juju Watkins scored 26 points, Rayah Marshall added 15 points and 15 rebounds, and No. 7 Southern California ended its regular season with a 70-55 victory over Arizona State on Saturday.

USC (23-5, 13-5 Pac-12) has won nine of its last 10 games. Watkins, a freshman sensation averaging nearly 28 points, shot 10 of 22 from the field, grabbed 12 rebounds and had three assists.

NO. 3 TEXAS 71, BYU 46

Madison Booker had 20 points and five assists and led a third-quarter surge as Texas beat BYU.

NO. 4 STANFORD 76, OREGON 56

Cameron Brink had 18 points, 17 rebounds and three blocks and Stanford beat Oregon in the Pac-12 regular-season finale for both teams.

Kiki Iriafen added 16 points and eight rebounds for the Cardinal (26-4, 15-3), who had already claimed the regular-season conference championsh­ip and won for the seventh time in the last eight games. Hannah Jump had 12 points.

NO. 8 UCLA 61, ARIZONA 41

Londynn Jones scored 16 points, Lauren Betts had 11 points and 12 rebounds, and UCLA dominated on the boards to beat Arizona in the regular season finale for both teams.
