Biden makes it possible for illegal immigrants to bypass the border — on airplanes

Immigration system must be fixed by legislation

This is in response to a recent TC Line caller who said immigrants need to wait in line. Due to climate change, poverty, violence in undemocratic countries, the number of people migrating to other places world-wide has exploded, so the “line” is impossibly long. The media should emphasize that international law requires that migrants be allowed to request asylum. So executive orders to close the border are illegal.

And, not every migrant qualifies for asylum. This must be decided by immigration judges. Lack of action by Congress over the last 40 years means there are not enough trained asylum judges. The process to “get in line” is broken, so people try to go around it. There are not enough border agents to manage this many people, and the current technology is old.

Executive orders cannot authorize more money. This must be solved by legislation. A comprehensive bipartisan bill to fix immigration was introduced by President Biden right after he took office. Congress refused to act on it. A recent new bipartisan bill passed by the Senate would have addressed many of the shortfalls, but Trump ordered that it not be introduced or even discussed in the House. Call your Congressperson.

Did you know that last year President Biden flew 320,000 illegal immigrants directly from their home countries (Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela) to 43 different U.S. airports? This was done with a phone app called “CBP One” created at the request of the Biden administration. With this app, people in foreign countries can request authorization to present themselves at a land port of entry. But the Biden administration is secretly flying these immigrants directly from their home countries to the United States.

Why has the mainstream media not reported on this? This is not fake news and has been reported by many nonnews agencies and confirmed by Customs and Border Patrol themselves. I think the mainstream media doesn’t want to rebuff this news because there is too much embarrassing truth to it.

According to New York Rep. Elise Stefanik, since Joe Biden took office there have been 7.2 million illegal crossings at our southern border, greater than the population of 36 states. Not counting 1.8 million “gotaways” who evaded Border Patrol. Since the fiscal year began in October, 20,000 Communist Chinese nationals have crossed our southern border illegally.

President Biden and Democratic leaders in the House and Senate are blaming Republicans for holding up immigration reform. If this is the kind of immigration policy the Democrats want, I stand with the Republicans. The Democrats’ latest bill for immigration reform tied aid to Ukraine, Israel, Gaza and Taiwan to the bill. The bill would allow the administration to deport migrants without letting them apply for asylum, but only if Border Patrol encountered an average of at least 4,000 migrants per day over seven days. It would be mandatory only if that number reached 5,000 — or 8,500 in a single day. That is not immigration reform, just the Democrats trying to put lipstick on a pig. If this concerns you, let your representatives know and make your vote count.
