Yvonne R. “Onnie” Willard (nee Ritchie), 60, died at her home in Flourtown, Pa., on July 25, 2012.

Born in Trenton, N.J., Jan.22, 1952, to Ida and the late Ishmon Ritchie (Burd), Yvonne enjoyed singing in church choir and participat­ing in youth group at Morrisvill­e Baptist Church.

At Camp Sankanac at the age of 15, she met her sweetheart and future husband, William F. Willard. They married at the Little Church in Townsends Inlet, N.J., on June 6, 1970, and UDLVHG fiYH FKLOGUHn.

Yvonne was a caregiver to DOO. HHU OLIH ZDV GHfinHG Ey WKRVH VKH VHOflHVVOy FDUHG IRU each moment of every day.

Yvonne graciously opened her home to all, sharing her joyful spirit with family, friends and those in need.

In 1988, she started her home day care, Open Arms. Over the years she lovingly cared for 87 infants and toddlers. Open Arms was not just a name, but symbolized her love of Jesus for all those who walked through her door.

She is survived by her beloved husband and soul mate, WLOOLDP; KHU fiYH GHYRWHG children and their spouses, Christy Hargan (Patrick), Becky Holcomb (Mac), Adam Willard (Christy), Debby Ritter (Andrew) and salarie Kauffman (Dan); eight loving grandchild­ren, Natalie and Nicki Hargan, Bobby and Franny Holcomb, Caleb and Ellie Willard and Frederic Ritter and Adeline Kauffman, her mother, Ida Burd; and sister sanessa.

A celebratio­n service to joyfully remember Yvonne’s life was held at the Willard family homestead on Saturday July 28, 2012. A reception followed.

In Yvonne’s honor, contributi­ons to Chelten Child Developmen­t Center (CCDC), Chelten Baptist Church, 1601 Limekiln Pike, Dresher, PA 19025 would be appreciate­d.
