Lower Moreland ranked in top high schools

Lower Moreland eigh School was ranked in Newsweek’s “America’s Best eigh Schools OMNO” as one of the top NIMMM high schools in the nation. qhe rankingI which was based on graduation rateI college attendance rateI AP tests taken per studentI average SAq and ACq scoresI average AP scores and AP courses offered per studentI rates the high school as No. 4N8 in the nation.

“f am very excited and quite proudI” Superintendent Marykay ceeley said. “Everyone is working hard for the success of our students ... ft gives me a source of pride.”

According to Newsweek’s reportI VN percent of students at Lower Moreland eigh School graduate within four years and VS percent of graduates go on t o college. AdditionallyI the average SAq score is reported as being NITNM and the average ACq score as OT.

ceeley said she is also encouraged by the rankingI which she describes as one of the best the district has hadI since over the last decade the district has grown almost PM percent. She said it shows the district is addressing the issues of space in all the schools without losing any quality to the education. She said as the district growsI it has added teachersI classrooms and programs as needed. AdditionallyI this year the district put together a facilities task force to look at how space restrictions can be addressed throughout the districtI but with a focus on the high school.

lther area schools were also ranked as top high schoolsI including Methacton in Eagleville at T5VI Plymouth Whitemarsh in Pylmouth Meeting at 8PV and North Penn in Lansdale at V4S.
