Francis “Frank” W. Ferry served in the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Army for seven years. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1992. Frank served as a YROunWHHU fiUHfiJKWH­U Ln 5RVlyn for 20 years, retiring as assistant chief.

He was the beloved husband of Sally (nee Holdsworth), his wife of 25 years; dear father of Ingrid Torchia and Karl Ferry; stepfather of Siobhan McIntyre, Tianne Collins (Doug), H.K. Greene and Dennie Whiteside (Todd); and loving grandfathe­r of Cecelia, Amanda, Chloe, Nick, wach, Lizzy, Mikey, Emma, Owen, Carisa, Dylan and Myranda. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends called on the family Tuesday, Oct. 9, 6-8 p.m. at the McIlvanie Funeral Home, 3711 Midvale Ave., Phila., PA 19129 and 8:309:30 a.m. on Oct. 10. Funeral Mass followed at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget Church. Interment private.

For those desiring, donations in Frank’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St., Phila., PA 19103. a.m. Interment will follow Our Lady of Czestochow­a Cemetery.

Arrangemen­ts by the Joseph McGoldrick Funeral Home of Jenkintown. and was a star athlete in both football and lacrosse. He became Constructi­on Engineer for the United States Postal Service. He retired as a regional director in charge of constructi­ng and maintainLn­J DOO WKH SRVW RIfiFH EuLOGings in the Northeast region of the United States. Archie served his country in World War II in the United States Navy, on the battleship U.S.S. Tuscaloosa.

Archie is survived by his devoted wife Helen (Kolodgie), to whom he was married for 65 years; his children Patricia (Roy) Hanshaw, Richard (Lorraine), Debra (Ray) Yoder, Donna and Archie. “Pop Pop” is also survived by eight grandchild­ren, Patricia Denise, Ray, Stephanie, Brian, Richard, P.J., MiFKDHO DnG BUDnGRn; DnG fiYH great-grandchild­ren, who affectiona­tely referred to him as “Poppy.” Archie is also survived by his sister, Ann Belardi, Scranton; brother of the late Gaetano (Angela Barbera); maternal aunt Genevieve Capone DeLuca; and sister-in-law Dolores Kolodgie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Archie will be missed by all.
