BANK ROBBERY » Cheltenham police and the FBI are seeking a male believed to be a serial bank robber.

The suspect held up the Citizen’s Bank, 139 S. Easton Road, at 11:37 a.m. June 26 and fled with an unknown amount of cash, police said.

Described as a black male wearing a black hooded shirt, black pants and a baseball hat with a Calvin Klein logo on it, the suspect presented a demand note, but it was unknown if he had a weapon, police said.

At that time, the suspect was described as a black male in his 20s with a slender build, about 6 feet tall, with a beard and mustache, wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, a red baseball cap and blue jeans, police said.

The robber presented a demand note to a teller and kept one hand in his coat pocket, but no weapon was displayed or indicated, police said. After receiving cash, he fled south over the parking lot; a canine track from Upper Moreland was not successful, police said.

The suspect is also believed to have robbed the PNC Bank in the 4700 block of North Broad Street, Philadelphia, on June 18, according to police.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about the robberies or the suspect is asked to call the FBI at 215-481-4000 or the Cheltenham Police Department at 215-885-1600.
