Paige Marie Botbyl

-

WESTBROOKVILLE - Paige Marie Botbyl of Westbrookville, NY, departed this life on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at the age of just 36 years old. Born on February 23, 1988 in Pompton Plains, NJ to the late Donald Botbyl and the late Ann Botbyl, Paige was a graduate of Port Jervis High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University.

It was her career as a Dental Hygienist that took Paige to Beaufort, South Carolina, where she lived for several years and eventually met and fell in love with the man who would become her husband. An animal activist who preferred following a vegan diet, Paige adored all creatures (but most especially cats), and she frequently donated her time to supporting local animal rescue organizations. Paige loved to travel, and during her 3.5-year battle with breast cancer she made a point to see as much of the world as she could.

Still, she was always the happiest amongst her loved ones, and her family will always remember the amazing memories that they all shared at Red Top. Paige’s numerous friends treasured the privilege of knowing her, and not just because they could always rely on her to steal the pickle off their plates in restaurants. Quick-witted and funny as hell, Paige’s incredible sense of humor and zest for life carried her through so many of the hardships she faced. She had her own saying that spoke volumes: “Cancer, YOU B*TCH!”

Paige died at home while surrounded by her loving family and friends. She is survived by her adoring husband, Austin Nestle; her beloved brother, Casey Botbyl, his wife Elya; her precious nephews, Brody and Beau Botbyl; and her utterly spoiled cats, Bella, Norman and Scout; Also many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, located at 100 East Main Street in Port Jervis, NY on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm.
