A better year for animals

-

Well, thankfully the holidays are here and 2020 is almost over. It’s been a rough year for all of us — even the animals.

At Solano County Friends of Animals (SCFOA), we have been busy. Kitten season, normally spring and summer, is ongoing. I am waiting for two little kittens to foster as I write this. They just keep coming.

With the kittens and cats come the expenses. That’s where you come in. I have for years preached “Give A Buck.” If everyone who reads this letter sent just $1, we would be so happy. We at SCFOA have been around for more than 35 years. We are a 501c3, no-kill animal rescue. We are all volunteer. We have no paid staff and we all foster in our own homes. We are blessed to have Pet Food Express in Vallejo/ Benicia and PetSmart in Fairfield as partners. We have cats and kittens at both places for adoption.

Also, if you send a donation, it is tax- deductible and you will not receive a blanket, stickers, calendar, datebook or anything else. Every dollar donated goes directly to the animals’ care.

Donations can be sent to: SCFOA, P.O. Box 235, Benicia, CA, 94510. If you have questions go to our Facebook, or my email is: retiredruby@comcast.net. I love to talk about us! We do a lot of good work and we have saved, fostered and found loving homes for thousands of animals. Please, help us help them. I thank you in advance for all donations big or small. It all adds up.
