- Times-Herald staff report

The Vallejo Police Department has made three arrests in connection to the Sept. 3 murder of 23-yearold Daimon Darell Ferguson.

Ferguson was inside his sister’s home the night of the shooting when he got called outside. A car came around the corner and according to Ferguson’s mom, Sonya Mitchell, some 60 shots were fired at the house around midnight on Adele Street.

The investigation, led by the VPD Detective Division and Crime Reduction Team, has culminated in the arrest of three murder suspects: 23-year- old

Jadontae Braely nelrich Foster of Vallejo, 23-yearold Dashanna Cordoba of Vallejo, and 23- year- old Destinee McFarland of Vallejo.

Foster and Cordoba were located and arrested in El Paso, Texas, and McFarland was located and arrested in Fairfield.

“He didn’t deserve this,” Mitchell told the TimesHerald in September. “My son is dead. My boy is dead. This ain’t a little boy (with) saggin’ ( pants), with gold teeth and a joint hangin’ from his mouth who pulls guns on you. This ain’t that kid. Not this one. He never got into a fight. He never got a felony, never got a misdemeanor. He never had a fight in his life. He showed up at work on time.”

Vallejo Chief of Police Shawny Williams said his thoughts were with the families.

“My deepest sympathies are with the parents and family of Mr. Ferguson,” Williams wrote in the statement. “We want the families of those who’ve fallen victim to senseless violence to know that we care, and that our officers are working tirelessly to bring justice in these cases.”
