Pedrotti ACE donates $5,000
With a $5,000 donation from Pedrotti ACE Hardware of Benicia, the TimesHerald’s 17th Annual Community Christmas Card broke a record that lasted 15 years.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the annual fundraising for the Sparrow Project, Faith Food Fridays, and Christian Help Center totaled $58,985.50.
The previous record was $ 54,808, established in 2005. Other top years were the $51,419 received in 2010 and $50,792 in 2008.
Deadline is Friday for donations, either online via the Solano Community Foundation at solanocf.org, by phone at (707) or dropped off at the TimesHerald in the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce office, 425 Virginia St., by 2:30 p.m.
Donors and donations will be published this Sunday and the final list will be published Sunday, Jan. 17.
