Kyle Michael Miller
July 31, 1980 - February 22, 2021 Richmond, CA
Kyle Michael Miller was born on July 31, 1980, in Chandler, AZ and passed away at his home in Richmond, CA on February 22, 2021, at the age of 40.
Kyle attended school in Fairfield and Vallejo, CA as well as Howard University in Washington, D.C. He completed his electrical apprenticeship with the Solano-Napa Joint Apprenticeship Training Program and was a member of IBEW Local 6 in San Francisco. Kyle was proud of becoming a state-certified electrician, having found a career that suited his natural curiosity and desire to learn and challenge himself.
Kyle loved the outdoors and nature throughout his life. He was an avid fisherman, although ironically, as a child he would release the fish because he did not want to hurt them. He enjoyed camping and relaxing by the water with his family and friends. He also enjoyed celebrating his Japanese heritage as evidenced by his many tattoos in honor of his familial roots. Kyle was an extremely intelligent man with an insatiable desire for knowledge. He loved reading and could often be found immersed in documentaries and history books. For anyone who ever had a conversation with Kyle about history, politics, or current events you knew it would be a long, losing battle. He loved sports and was such a diehard fan of the University of Michigan Wolverines that he named his youngest daughter Michigan.
Kyle made many friends throughout his short life and those he allowed into his inner circle knew they would have a loyal friend for life and the opportunity to share laughter, joy, and those long talks. Those who knew Kyle, even just a little, have lost a shining light in their lives.
As a family, we are comforted by the fact that before Kyle passed, he advised his mother that he accepted Christ as his Savior. He is, therefore, now at peace as he has entered God’s eternal rest. We will always hold him close to our hearts as we forever remember his wit, humor, and love. We are grateful to have been blessed to have had the opportunity to experience the good, the bad, and the ups and downs of our journey through life together.
Kyle will be missed every day by his grandfather, Sylvesta Adams; grandmother, Gloria Adams; mother, Terrye Davis; Pops, Osby Davis; father, Michael (Nita) Miller; daughters, Elan Miller and Michigan Miller; his son, Raphael Clark; partner, Amber Brocks as well as by his sisters, Stephanie (DaRon) Owens, Keisha Shelton, and Teresa Davis-Evans; his brother, Jahmal Davis and his four-month-old granddaughter, Miyomi along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 6 at Skyview Memorial Lawn Funeral Home, 200 Rollingwood Dr., Vallejo.
