Benicia High graduate French named all-MVC
Benicia High grad Grace French was named second team, all-Missouri Valley Conference for the Bradley softball team.
In addition to the allconference recognition, French was also named to the MVC's All-Defensive team.
French is the second player in program history with four or more homers and collect 10 or more wins a season. She is second on the squad in runs (30), doubles (10), homers (4) and RBI (26), while leading the Braves with a 3.32 ERA and owns a 10-10 overall record in the circle.
French is Bradley's first pitcher to win 10 games in a season dating back to 2015 and tossed the first no-hitter for the Braves since 2007, doing so in early March against St. Thomas.

Memorial Golf Classic on Friday June 24 at the Hiddenbrooke Golf Course.
There will be a four-person scramble, shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m.
The entry fee is $150, and after June 1, it's $165. The price includes a box lunch, tee prize. golf cart, golf and dinner. There will be silent auction, and raffle gifts.
There are prizes for winning teams, longest drive for men and women. All tournament proceeds benefit the Vallejo PAL programs.
Also the tournament will be honoring fallen Vallejo officers Thacker, Easson, Azuar and Capoot.
The event will be cosponsored by the Vallejo Police Association.

Youth baseball FAIRFIELD HIGH HOLDING CAMP >>
Fairfield High is hosting a four-day summer baseball camp July 1114. Jon Harris will direct the program in conjunction with U.S. Baseball Academy.
The four-day skills camp will feature instruction during the morning, with a focus on hitting and defense. The afternoon session will focus on situational baseball games, competition drills, and a Wiffle Ball World Series.
