Patrocinio Baluyot Dominguez, age 87, sadly passed away on May 9, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Patrocinio was born on January 21, 1935 in Abucay Bataan in the Philippine­s. He attended Tomas PinPin Elementary School, Arellano High School and the University of the East in the Philippine­s. He joined the U.S. Navy in March 1957 and had served 21 years before retiring. He also worked for the U.S. Postal Service and at the Mare Island Shipyard before retiring from Civil Service.

Patrocinio was the first President of the Barangay Associatio­n. He was also an active member of the Fleet Reserve, Naval Lodge, Filipino-American Retired United States Armed Forces Associatio­n (FARUSAFA), Filipino Community, and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

Patrocinio is survived by his daughter, Elaine Ribay (Robert) of Union City; his daughter, Eleanor Bruton of American Canyon; his son, Patrick Dominguez (Judith) of American Canyon; and his son, Nilo Dominguez (Norrissa) of Vallejo.

Patrocinio is also survived by his 10 grandchild­ren and one great-grandchild, Michael Bruton, Jessica Bruton, Janelle Ribay, Christophe­r Ribay, Natalie Ribay, Tatiana Ribay, Mark Dominguez, Zara Dominguez, Cassia Dominguez, Olin Dominguez and Jenalynn Dilag.

Patrocinio also leaves siblings to cherish his memory, Milagros Marcadejas and Imelda Rizalino (Dino) of the Philippine­s; Jun Dominguez (Ellen) of Washington State; and Dan Dominguez (Eloisa) of Vacaville, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Eva Castro Dominguez; his parents, Diosdado Dominguez Sr. and Juanita Baluyot Dominguez; and his brother, Dante Dominguez.

Patrocinio was a loving husband, father, grandfathe­r and great-grandfathe­r. His physical presence will be missed but he will remain in our hearts.

A viewing will be held on Monday, May 30 and Tuesday, May 31 at Colonial Chapels located at 1000 Redwood St., Vallejo, CA from 3 to 7 p.m. Vigil Service will be held on Tuesday, May 31 at 5 p.m. at Colonial Chapels. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, June 1 at noon at St. Basil the Great Roman Catholic Church located at 1200 Tuolumne St., Vallejo, CA and the burial service will be at 1 p.m. at All Souls Cemetery located at 550 Glen Cove Rd., Vallejo, CA.
