SBDC announces National Small Business Week celebration events
The Solano-Napa County Small Business Development Center will celebrate National Small Business Week next week with several events aimed toward supporting local small businesses.
On Thursday, the organization will host Business Connect from 5:30 to 7 p.m., at the Daily Desk, 490 Chadbourne Road, in Fairfield. SBDC describes the event as “an evening of networking and inspiration as we celebrate the resilience and success of the Solano and Napa business community.”
SBDC will also offer four different online trainings on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, each covering different topics. Those interested can register at solanonapasbdc.org/events.
Starting May 6, the SBDC will be hosting Beauty Boss, a training opportunity for cosmetologists to grow their businesses that will meet on Mondays throughout May and June.
“You'll finish the program with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to make your business a success,” the SBDC wrote. “This includes having a plan specific to your business needs. Upon successful completion, you will also receive a certificate of completion.”
For restaurant owners, the SBDC will host Zoom training meetings in partnership with the Rio Vista Downtown Association, which will help them increase their bottom line. Classes will include information regarding key numbers to business success, social media savvy, funding and restaurant systems.
