Carolyn Ford Carman passed away peacefully on Friday, July 8, 2022, surrounded by her three children.

Carolyn was born in Brinkley on Aug. 25, 1937, to Henry and Hazel Ford. Carolyn was an amazing wife, mom, friend and mentor with a heart of gold and beautiful smile. She loved being involved in the community and helping people. Carolyn attended Arkansas State Teachers College and was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. At ASTC she met the love of her life and husband, Bobby Lynn Carman whom she married July 3, 1960. Carolyn also graduated from Arkansas State University with a Masters of Education in counseling. Carolyn had a love for teaching. She was an educator in the Forrest City School District and later became a school counselor. Carolyn was active in the community where she was a member of Junior Auxiliary, Chapter CZ of the PEO Sisterhood, Delta Kappa Gamma and First United Methodist Church of Forrest City.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Henry David Ford and Hazel Dobbs Ford, and her husband, Bobby Lynn Carman.

She is survived by her children, Janice ‘Jan’ Carman Barker (Scott) of Searcy, Donna Carman Turner (Thax) of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Wendell Ford Carman (Chris Morledge) of Forrest City. Carolyn was 'CeeCee' to her two grandchild­ren, Chance Turner and Carman Barker. She is also survived by her brother, Henry Ford of Brinkley, and a cousin, Barbara Ford of Brinkley, along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church in Forrest City. A celebratio­n of her life will be held at 11 a.m., at the church.

Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangemen­ts.
