As a child, Lotie was talented and industrious. She began assisting and supporting her mother and younger siblings from an early age on the farm and in the various places they resided. In her personal walk of faith, she often declared that she was called to a ministry to serve “the poor, the sick and the needy.” She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Arkansas.

Her last six years of life were spent in the loving care of her son and daughter-in-law, Theodis and Fran Watson, in Kansas City, Mo.
