FCSD sets registration sessions for students

The Forrest City School District has scheduled registration sessions for students planning to attend classes in this district this year.

Parents of students in prekindergarten and kindergarten classes at Central Elementary School are allowed to register their students, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Pre-K parents will be required to provide a copy of their child's birth certificate, Social Security card and an updated shot record as well as an updated physical and proof of income.

Parents of kindergarten students will also have to provide documentation such as their child's birth certificate, Social Security card, an updated shot record and updated physical. They will also need to provide proof of residency.

New third through fifth grade students planning to attend Stewart Elementary are also being asked to attend a registration session depending on grade levels at the school's main office. Those sessions are scheduled for next week.

For third graders, the session is set for Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Fourth graders will register on Wednesday, Aug. 10, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., and fifth grade registration will be Thursday, Aug. 11, from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m.

Returning students are not required to register, according to district officials.

The Sixth Grade Academy and Forrest City Junior High School will hold registration Tuesday, Aug. 9, through Thursday, Aug. 11, from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Sixth grade registration will take place in the SGA main office while seventh and eighth grade registration will take place at the FCJHS main office.

Forrest City High School will hold registration Aug. 8 through 11 based on grade levels.

On Monday, Aug. 8, new students to the high school will report to the main office from 8 a.m. until noon or from 1 until 3 p.m., to register.

All other registrations will take place in the FCHS cafeteria.

Seniors and juniors will register on Tuesday, Aug. 9, with 12th graders scheduled from 9 a.m. until noon and 11th graders from 3 until 6 p.m.

On Wednesday, Aug. 10, ninth and 10th grade registration will take place with 10th grade registration from 9 a.m. until noon and ninth graders from 3 until 6 p.m.

Parents unable to attend the campuses on the designated days will have one more chance to register on Thursday, Aug. 11, when the school's cafeteria will have two registration sessions for all grades. Those sessions will be from 9 a.m. until noon and 3 until 6 p.m.
