Lottery ticket sales mixed in area counties

Sales of scratch-off lottery tickets in St. Francis County increased slightly in December, while total sales dipped from the previous month.

In December, SFC retailers sold $325,402 in scratch-offs, with total monthly sales reported at $418,511.50.

Both figures were higher than the sales reported by the state for the county during November when $318,287 in scratch-off tickets were sold, with the month’s total being $404,836.

Ticket sales in SFC last month were comparable to December 2022 when retailers sold $321,876 in scratch-off tickets, which contribute­d to $420,202.50 in total sales.

In Lee County, retailers sold $84,763 in scratch-off tickets during December, with the county’s total sales reported at $113,655.50.

Ticket sales in Lee County increased from the November report when $69,300 in scratchoff tickets were sold, contributi­ng to the county’s total of $92,339 for the month.

In December 2022, retailers in Lee County sold $77,500 in scratch-off tickets with total sales of $114,120.

Cross County had the largest dip in lottery ticket sales in December when compared to the previous year, according to the state report.

Retailers in Cross County sold $330,679 in scratch-off tickets, with total monthly sales reported at $372,666.

In December 2022, the state report showed scratch-off tickets totaling $384,542 were sold by Cross County retailers, contributi­ng to the county’s total sales for that month of $434,690.

In November last year, Cross County had $315,721 in scratch-off ticket sales, with the county’s total ticket sales being $347,853.50.

Scratch-off lottery ticket sales in Monroe County increased in December, compared to the previous month.
