Chef Juan Martinez takes great delight in utilizing only the freshest, high- quality ingredients and seafood in his recipes; he particularly enjoys coming up with daily specials, an area where he really shines. This native of Mexico has been cooking for 18 years, a career he launched after a three- year culinary training program. Martinez is not too picky when it comes to his personal favorite food style. He says, “I enjoy trying so many different styles of food. As long it was prepared expertly and tastes good, I’ll enjoy it”.
This island epicurean delight is fortunate to have two chefs guiding the culinary creations, and the results are doubly delicious. At Starfish Grille, you’ll find a fine dining room, the Star Bar tiki bar and the Palm Room for weddings and special events. If you love fresh sushi, let chef Aung Oo prepare your favorite rolls, sashimi and sushi. Aung hails from Myanma r ( formerly Burma) and brought 14 years of sushi preparation and catering experience with him when he joined Starfish Grille in 2012. Aung relies on a lifetime of expert training that he received working under his uncle, also a sushi chef, from whom he learned the true secrets in the art of preparing sushi. “I love to share my art with people— it makes them happ,” y says Aung.
Sesame- Crusted Ahi Tuna and Rainbow Dragon Roll With such a variety of dining styles, Starfish Grille offers something for everyone. You might select the seared sesame- crusted, sushi- grade ahi tuna topped with two jumbo grilled scallops and placed on a bed of sauteed spinach and roasted garlic, then finished with a soy- ginger sauce. Anothe r beloved dish hails from the sushi bar. The famous rainbow dragon roll is stuffed with avocado, cucumber and crab, and wrapped with an array of seafood favorites: salmon, tuna, white tuna, shrimp and eel.
