Hogs hope NFL calls

Where your favorite Arkansas draft prospects could land

- Jackson Fuller

The NFL Draft is rapidly approaching, and five Arkansas football players are hoping to hear their names called this weekend in Detroit.

Dwight McGlothern, Cam Little, Beaux Limmer, Brady Latham and Trajan Jeffcoat are the Razorbacks' top-five prospects. All five were invited to the NFL Draft Combine in late February, but none are projected to be selected in the first two rounds. There's a good chance all five Hogs are called on Saturday.

The draft will begin Thursday at 7 p.m. CT. Fans can tune in to watch on NFL Network, ESPN, ABC and ESPN Deportes.

Below is a closer look at some draft projections for Arkansas football players.

CB Dwight McGlothern

According to Pro Football Focus (PFF), McGlothern graded out as the top cornerback in the country this past season with Arkansas, but he will likely be a Day 3 pick in the NFL Draft. McGlothern could be selected as high as the fourth round, and some projections have him going undrafted, but he could fit well on a team that doesn't need instant starters in the secondary and can be patient with his development. The New Orleans Saints fit this criteria, and they could provide a fun chance for McGlothern to play professionally in his home state.

OL Beaux Limmer

Limmer's versatility makes him nearly a lock to be selected this week, but his projections are also all over the place. PFF has Limmer going

early in the fourth round, but NFL.com foresees the offensive lineman having to wait until the seventh round. Either way, Limmer could play guard or center at the next level and immediately be in the two-deep rotation. Contenders who need depth — like the Buffalo Bills or Kansas City Chiefs — feel like a great landing spot.

K Cam Little

Little left Arkansas a year early and is a consensus top-two kicker in this year’s draft. He has another wide range and could come off the board as early as the third round, which is when the San Francisco 49ers selected Jake Moody as the first kicker of last year’s class. Little will likely slot in as an immediate starter wherever he goes, with the Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots serving as potential destinations.

OG Brady Latham

There is a good chance Latham goes undrafted, but he could hear his name called in either of the final two rounds. Latham only gave up five sacks across his final two seasons with the Razorbacks and showcased NFL-level physicality across 47 starts. Latham could be a good fit with the Las Vegas Raiders, who have two picks in the seventh round and are in the market for interior linemen.

DE Trajan Jeffcoat

Most projections have Jeffcoat going undrafted, but NFL.com slots the Missouri transfer as a potential sixth-round pick. Jeffcoat’s always had great physical tools and a high ceiling, but the college production never matched. If he is drafted, Jeffcoat will hope to find a team with decent depth on the defensive line where he can complement as a passrushing specialist. If he’s drafted, the Cowboys feel like a nice match for the South Carolina native.
