Anti-Trump columnist is nowhere near the middle

“Matthew in the Middle” has come out of the closet. In recent weeks he has gone on antiTrump rants. Not only bashing the president, but his supporters. He attempts to shame anyone who might vote for him with the usual demonizing.

OK, fine, that’s his opinion. But it certainly isn’t what I consider the middle — sounds like strictly left-wing rhetoric.

I am not part of this cancel culture. I am not calling for his removal or censorship. I am calling for honesty from the Times-Standard. It needs to rename this Sunday column. It is misleading to sell it as anything from the middle. Your readers just aren’t that ignorant.
