Editor’s note: The following is a list of the board, commission and council meetings that are scheduled in the coming week around Humboldt County.
Arcata City Council
When: First and third Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m.; special meeting at 5:30 p.m.
Where: The meeting can be viewed via the city’s website, via the city’s YouTube channel at https:// www.youtube.com/channel/ UCJYGp9zDPdWMGtA0BtfFX_A or via Access Humboldt channels.
• The council will meet in closed session at 5:30 p.m. to discuss anticipated litigation and a vacancy on the transportation safety committee.
• During the regular meeting, the council will consider extending the emergency declaration related to the coronavirus pandemic.
• The council will discuss its final 2020-21 fiscal year budget.
• The council will discuss an urgency ordinance that puts a cap on delivery charges from third-party delivery services during the pandemic.

Eureka City Council
When: First and third Tuesdays of the month at 6 p.m.
Where: The meeting can be viewed via the city’s website or Access Humboldt channels.
• The council will meet in closed session at 5 p.m. to discuss existing and new litigation.
• During the regular meeting, the council will consider adopting a resolution for a westside flood reduction and sea-level rise project.
• The council will consider a resolution in support of Proposition 20.
• The council will consider adding the following language to its regular agendas: “The City of Eureka acknowledges that we are located on the unceded ancestral lands of the Wiyot Tribe. Please join us in acknowledging this fact as we work and meet together today.”
• The council will consider an ordinance the expedites the process for permitting electric charging stations.
• The council will consider an ordinance to formally create a citizens advisory board for the chief of police.
• The council will receive a report on affordable housing projects at three city-owned sites.
• The council will receive a presentation on the Broadway multimodal plan.

Ferndale City Council
When: Third Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m.

• The council will meet in closed session at 5:30 p.m. to discuss property negotiations, anticipated litigation and a performance evaluation of the city manager.
• During the regular meeting, the council will discuss implementing new rules regarding fences.
• The council will receive an update on the situation regarding COVID-19
and extend the declaration of a local emergency.

Fortuna City Council
When: First and third Monday of every month at 6 p.m.
Where: The meeting can be viewed on Access Humboldt channels.
• The council will consider awarding a contract for a wastewater discharge elimination project.
• The council will consider a statement in favor of Proposition
20.

Humboldt County Board of Supervisors
When: Every Tuesday except for the fifth Tuesday of a month at 9 a.m.; special meeting Monday at 1:30 p.m.
Where: The meetings can be viewed on Access Humboldt channels or via the county’s website.
• The board will meet on Monday at 1:30 p.m. to discuss whether to appoint human resources project manager Jeremy Clark as a panelist to hear an appeal of discipline imposed under the Humboldt County Merit System Rules.
• During the regular meeting, the board will consider an agreement for more than $283,000 for the design and construction management of the Garberville mini-campus.
• The board will consider an amendment to the medical marijuana land use agreement to have dispensary hours in line with state rules.
• The board will receive an update on the conditions surrounding COVID-19 in Humboldt County with time set at 9 a.m.
• The board will receive a presentation from Humboldt Waste Management Authority’s Jill Duffy on CRV redemption with time set at 9:30 a.m.
• The board will discuss the adoption of the Humboldt County Facilities Master Plan with time set at 11 a.m.
• The board will hear an
appeal of a Humboldt County Planning Commission denial for more than 27,000 acres of cannabis cultivation by Maple Creek Investments with time set at 1:30 p.m.
• The board will meet in closed session for labor negotiations; performance reviews of the chief probation officer, library services director, county counsel; and to discuss the appointment of a health officer.
