Humboldt County Board of Supervisor­s

When: Every Tuesday except for the fifth Tuesday of a month at 9 a.m. Where: Supervisor­s chambers, 825 Fifth St., Eureka

• The board will be accepting a report on the dispute between Suddenlink and Cox Media Group regarding local CBS and NBC affiliates. Potential action includes signing attached letters to California’s U.S. senators Dianne Feinstein and Alex Padilla regarding the matter.

• The board will be appointing Guy Aronoff to its Human Rights Commission as the third district representa­tive under its consent calendar. Aronoff is an adjunct history professor at Humboldt State University.

• The board will be receiving a staff report and adopting a resolution to approve a conditiona­l use permit for 12,650 square feet of commercial cannabis growth submitted by Mattole River Farms, LLC under its consent calendar.

• The board will receive an update on COVID-19 conditions from the Department of Health and Human Services.

• The board will convene with its legal counsel in closed session to discuss litigation of multiple cases.

Northern Humboldt Union High School District Governing Board special session

• The governing board will be meeting in closed session to discuss and/or act on a performanc­e evaluation of its superinten­dent. • The council will approve a change of language on a letter to the Trinidad Rancheria regarding the removal of a stormwater outfall pipe at Launcher Beach under its consent calendar.

• The council will be discussing its water shortage contingenc­y plan.

• The council will discuss participat­ing in a feasibilit­y study focusing on extending Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District services to the city.

• The council will be updated on the Downtown Trinidad pedestrian and connectivi­ty improvemen­t project.
