Local firm Ebert Capital Management touts GIPS standards compliance

-

The Eureka-based Ebert Capital Management fee only fiduciary firm recently announced its second verified compliance with Global Investment Performance Standards administered by the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute, a global, not-for-profit association of investment professionals.

The GIPS standards are a set of standardized, voluntary, industry-wide ethical principles that provide investment firms with guidance on how to calculate and report their investment results to prospective clients, according to an ECM release. Verification does not ensure the accuracy of any specific composite presentation.

The firm’s verification for the period from Dec. 1, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2020 was conducted by Richmond, Virginia-based Alpha Performance Verification Services.

“We are really proud of getting the GIPS verification done again,” ECM CEO Benjamin Ebert said in the release. “We launched new green investment strategies in 2019 and the GIPS verification helps assure our clients that the performance we report has been verified by a third party. And our focus on investing in companies working on environmental and equality solutions reflects our firms’ priorities.”
