Arcata City Council

When: First and third Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m.; special meeting Wednesday at 5 p.m.

• The council will meet in closed session at 5 p.m. to discuss existing litigation relating to the death of David Josiah Lawson.

• During the regular meeting, the council will consider approving a letter being sent to the California Department of Toxic Substances

Control over concerns of water contaminat­ion.

• The council will receive a report on police reforms in the Arcata Police Department.

• The council will appoint a new member to the Historic Landmarks Committee.

• The council will consider adopting a resolution accepting a mid-year budget review and revisions for fiscal year 2020-21

Eureka City Council

When: First and third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m., closed session at 5 p.m.

Where: The meeting can be viewed on the city’s website or on Access Humboldt channels.

• During closed session at 5 p.m., the council will discuss significan­t exposure to litigation as well as labor negotiatio­ns.

• During the regular meeting, the council will receive an update on Betty’s Annex.

• The council will consider approving a letter being sent to the California Department of Toxic Substances Control over concerns of water contaminat­ion.

• The council will receive a report on Caltrans’ improvemen­ts for pedestrian crossings.

• The council will receive a report on RCEA’s solar program.

Fortuna City Council

When: First and third Monday of every month at 6 p.m.

• The council will consider approving a budget request for a mini-excavator.

• The council will hold a public hearing on small wireless communicat­ions facilities.

Humboldt County Board of Supervisor­s

When: Every Tuesday except for the fifth Tuesday of a month at 9 a.m.

Where: The meeting can be viewed on the county’s website or on Access Humboldt channels.

• The board will consider a request for additional help from the McKinleyvi­lle Municipal Advisory Committee.

• At 11 a.m., the board will meet in closed session to discuss litigation and labor negotiatio­n.

• At 1:30 p.m., the board will receive a presentati­on from the auditor-controller on fiscal year 2018-19 audit reports.
