Arcata Planning Commission When: Second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 6p.m. Where: The meeting will be available through Access Humboldt channel 10, the city’s website, at www.cityofarca­ta.org, and the city’s YouTube channel, at https:// www.youtube.com/channel/ UCJYGp9zDP­dWMGtA0Btf­FX_A. • The commission will be reviewing the annual progress report on the city’s general plan and recommendi­ng it to the city council. College of the Redwoods Board of Trustees When: First Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. Where: The meeting will be available through Zoom, at https://cccconfer.zoom. us/j/9532947878­6. • The board of trustees will consider adopting a resolution supporting equal gender pay in California community colleges. • The board of trustees will consider adopting a resolution to condemn the recent surge in hate crimes targeting Asian Americans. • Under its consent calendar, the board of trustees will be approving several contracts and memorandum­s and agreements. The pacts include athletic field usage permits, on-site constructi­on services and COVID-19 testing, among other services and engagement­s. Humboldt Bay Harbor, Recreation and Conservati­on District When:

The second Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. Where: The meeting will be available through Zoom, at https://us02web.zoom. us/j/3432860852. • The district board will consider authorizin­g its board president to submit a letter in support of AB 525, related to offshore wind energy generation and port facilities. The legislatio­n’s goal is to generate at least 10,000megawat­ts on offshore California wind energy developmen­ts by 2040. • The district board will consider accepting an applicatio­n for a new floating dock at the Samoa boat launch in Eureka. • The district board will consider awarding a contract for

• Under its consent calendar, the board will approve a compensati­on plan for designated management and confidenti­al employees for the period ranging from July 1, 2020 through Dec. 31, 2021. The item includes a one-time payment for each employee of $1,300, which will be issued in the March 12 pay warrant cycle and an additional amount, up to $100, per month toward health insurance premiums, beginning March 2021 through November. • The board will be updated on the local conditions surroundin­g the COVID-19 pandemic. • The board will be receiving an update on an environmen­tal clean up effort at an unpermitte­d cannabis growth site. • The board will convene with its legal counsel regarding litigation of two individual cases, Henson v. Trinidad City Council When: Tuesday, 6-11 p.m. via video/audio conference on the Webex platform due to COVID-19 distancing restrictio­ns. More informatio­n at https:// trinidad.ca.gov/city-council-regular-meeting-24. • The council will continue its selection of mayor and mayor pro-tempore. • The council will consider lifting its moratorium on shortterm rentals five days earlier. The moratorium was passed in December and was set to expire on March 14. • The council will consider reducing the minimum 60-day availabili­ty requiremen­t for short term rentals down to 30 days, this due to a drop in demand during the COVID-19 pandemic and the city’s moratorium. • The council will consider a resolution to establish a water advisory committee.
