Marsh field trip
The Redwood Region Audubon Society will present a free guided field trip at the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Everyone is asked to bring binoculars and meet leader Ken Burton at the end of South I Street (Klopp Lake) in Arcata to enjoy views of Humboldt Bay and a great diversity of birdlife.

Wetlands workday The Redwood Region Audubon Society will host a Wigi Wetlands Volunteer Workday from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday for a Wigi Wetlands Volunteer Workday. Everyone can help create bird-friendly native habitat and restore a section of the bay trail by removing invasive plants and trash.
The trail section is behind the Bayshore Mall and volunteers will meet in the parking lot directly behind Walmart.

Kayak tour
The Redwood Region Audubon Society, in partnership with local guiding company Kayak Trinidad, will offer a morning of viewing local seabirds via kayak from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Participants will ply the waters of Trinidad Bay with professional kayak guides seeking out marbled murrelets, pigeon guillemots, common murres, black oystercatchers and more.
All kayaks and gear will be provided. Space is limited and reservations are required. The cost of this trip is $109 per person. Email Andrew Orahoske at andrew.rras@gmail. com to reserve a spot on this seabirding adventure.
