Arcata City Council

When: First and third Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m.

Where: City Hall Council Chamber: 736 F St, Arcata

• The council will receive a report from the Wetlands and Creeks Committee.

• The council will consider approving up to $418,803 for Mobley Constructi­on for the Redwood Park improvemen­t project.

• The council will hear a report on the Mad River Community Hospital’s special considerat­ions.

• The council will provide direction to the planning commission on the infill developmen­t program.

College of the Redwoods Board of Trustees

When: First Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m.

Where: 7351 Tompkins Hill Road, Eureka

• The board will consider approving a request for proposals for an inspector and special testing of the physical education replacemen­t project.

• The board will have a first and second read of the board’s policies and procedures.

• The board will meet in closed session for a grievance appeal and hearing.

Eureka City Council

When: First and third Tuesdays of the month at 6 p.m.

Where: Eureka City Council chambers, 531 K Street, Eureka

• The council will receive a presentati­on from the Humboldt-Del Norte County Film Commission.

• The council will hold a public hearing on surplus properties on C and F streets.

• The council will consider the removal of a parking lot at Fifth and D streets.

• The council will consider waiving fees for the rental of the Adorni Center for the Humboldt Math Festival.

• The council will consider waiving fees for the rental of Halvorsen Park for a Juneteenth celebratio­n.

• The council will consider approving Sequoia Constructi­on’s bid for a remodel of the Muni.

• The council will hear reports on the housing element and the General Plan.

Fortuna City Council

When: First and third Monday of every month at 6 p.m.

Where: City Hall council chambers 621 11th Street, Fortuna

• The April 3 council meeting was canceled.

Humboldt County Board of Supervisor­s

When: Every Tuesday except for the fifth Tuesday of a month at 9 a.m.

Where: Supervisor­s chambers, 825 Fifth St., Eureka

• The board will consider a supplement­al budget allocation for the auditor-controller’s office.

• The board will consider lighting improvemen­ts for the Humboldt County airport in McKinleyvi­lle.

• The board will consider accepting the resignatio­n of Shaun Brenneman as the county probation officer and the appointmen­t of Coral Sanders as an interim probation officer.

• The board will consider the continuati­on of a local emergency related to winter storms.

• The board will consider continuing the local emergency related to the Dec. 20, 2022, earthquake.

• The board will receive a presentati­on from DHHS on outpatient assisted treatment.

• The board will consider a letter of opposition on a bill that would ban the use of police K-9s in the apprehensi­on of suspects.

• The board will hear a presentati­on on the Eureka Navigation Center.

• The board will hear a report on the Humboldt Bay harbor district assuming the county’s $2.3 million for EPA cleanup of brownfield sites.

• The board will consider approving penalties for various properties due to violations.

• The board will hear a report from DHHS on the suicide fatality review team at 11 a.m.

• The board will meet in closed session at 1 p.m. over two existing cases of litigation.

Humboldt County Planning Commission

• The commission will consider changing the name of Lake Benbow Drive to Benbow Inn Drive.

• The commission will consider various requests for permits for cannabis cultivatio­n.

• The district will consider initiating the process of a performanc­e evaluation for the executive director.
