THE DIVORCE IS OFF!

-

Jennie Garth and husband Dave Abrams have decided to work things out.

After a tumultuous year — much of which played out in front of the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation cameras — Ronnie Ortiz-Magro decided it was time to seek help for his depression and alcohol use. “I basically hit rock bottom,” the reality star, 33, tells Us exclusively. “I decided to go to treatment because I wanted to be a better person, a better father.” After over a month in a Florida rehab center, the Bronx, N.Y., native, who shares daughter Ariana Sky, 10 months, with his on-again, offagain girlfriend Jen Harley, says he’s “completely sober.”

UPS AND DOWNS The couple’s rocky relationship has been fraught with cheating allegations and physical altercations. On June 24, Ronnie was left bruised and bloody after being dragged from a car (Jen, 31, was in the driver’s seat); then on New Year’s Eve, he suffered more wounds after she allegedly threw an ashtray at him. He later filed a battery report against her. Now Ronnie says, “She’s always going to be the mother of my child,” but he’s focused on his daughter and his own recovery first and foremost. In treatment, he learned

“to be present,” he says. “Don’t worry about yesterday. Don’t worry about tomorrow. Just worry about now.” HELPING HAND Ronnie’s found support in an unlikely place: his Jersey Shore costar Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, who’s been sober for three years. Though the two are often at odds on the show, “we talk every day through email,” says Ronnie. (Mike, 36, is serving an eight-month prison sentence for tax evasion.) “He still has his positive attitude. He still sounds like he swallowed a book of poetry.”

?? ?? “You’ll see this journey on the show,” says Ronnie (proud papa to Ariana, above). “I want to tell my story. I want to touch people.”Jennie had cited irreconcilabl differences in her original respoto Dave’s divorce filing.
