MY FIRST YEAR AS A MOM
Kylie Jenner reflects on life with her little “Storm Storm” — and reveals whether she’ll give her a sibling soon!
It’s hard to stand out in a family with the last names Kardashian and Jenner, but 21-year-old Kylie does it again and again. When the billionaire mogul mom posted her first pic of baby Stormi Webster’s fingers on Feb. 6, 2018 (see inset), she practically broke the internet — it was the most-liked photo in Instagram history before the infamous egg knocked it off its pedestal — and the year that’s followed for Kylie, her daughter and Stormi’s dad, Travis Scott, 26, has been just as major.
“Kylie is absolutely obsessed with being a mom,” a source tells Us. “She loves motherhood, and luckily there haven’t been any huge obstacles.” Kylie’s close relationship with her four sisters, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé and Kendall — all of whom (except Kendall) are also parents — and momager Kris Jenner has been a huge blessing. “She’s had them to lean on,” says the source. “It’s truly a community of support.”
Of course, it hasn’t been all smooth sailing — at least not at the beginning. “In the first months after Stormi’s arrival, Kylie struggled with having enough time to do anything, like working out,” says the source, explaining that the reality-TV star was unhappy with her 40-pounds-heavier postbaby body. “I have stretch marks on my boobs. My stomach isn’t the same, my waist isn’t the same, my butt’s bigger, my thighs [are] bigger... Nothing in my closet fits me from before,” Kylie lamented last summer. (For what it’s worth, Travis doesn’t seem to mind: The two were all over each other on the red carpet at the Grammys.)
Now, a year into parenthood, Kylie has learned to adapt. “She has a home office, and Kylie Cosmetics is five minutes away, so she can really juggle being a working mom,” says the source, adding that the situation “has been a dream” — and has even sparked a desire to have more kids.
A SISTER FOR STORMI
One major motivation for giving “Storm Storm” a sibling is the bond Kylie sees between her baby girl and Travis: She says the two have a “crazy connection,” and that Stormi is “definitely a daddy’s girl.” Which means that when it comes time for baby
No. 2, Kylie hopes it’s another girl — one she’ll give “a really feminine name,” she confessed in October.
Though she denied she was expecting again in early February, those
in Kylie’s inner circle “wouldn’t be surprised” if the star is pregnant again soon, says the source.
Despite the pressures of being a working mother and keeping her body in reality-TV shape, Kylie’s clearly on top of the world — and even her love life has benefited from her motherhood. “Travis’ relationship with Kylie has only been made stronger because of Stormi,” says the insider.
“They’ve talked about getting engaged — but it’s on Travis as to when that happens.”
One thing’s for sure: If there’s any photo that could put Kylie back at the top of the mostliked list on Instagram, it would be a picture of
her finger — with a giant ring on it.
