Meghan Markle calls out the royals in a new court doc that states she felt “unprotected” by husband Prince Harry’s family during her pregnancy.
Meghan Markle just made her feelings about Prince Harry’s family crystal clear. According to new court documents that were released as a part of her privacy claim against a U.K. tabloid, the rebellious duchess, 38, felt “unprotected” by the monarchs while pregnant with Archie. “Meghan hasn’t directly talked to the media about her ill will — she wanted to get the word out indirectly,” an insider tells Us. Now “trouble is brewing between Harry and Meghan, and the royals.”
BATTLE ROYALE The insider says the Windsors have only so much control over what people think: “They do their utmost to protect their family, especially since Princess Diana’s death, but it’s impossible for them to completely control what the public says about Meghan.” In fact, says the insider, “some of the stories about her are true, so she didn’t exactly help herself.” But Meghan and Harry, 35 — who’ve been in L.A. with their 14-month-old since March — “didn’t think the royals did enough” to help the famously critiqued duchess, says the insider: “Harry feels guilty about the stress he’s causing the queen, but he stands by Meghan.”
