THE LIGHTS WENT OUT ON BROADWAY
Nick Cordero’s monthslong health battle has come to a heartbreaking end. The Broadway star, 41, died on July 5 after suffering complications from the coronavirus. (After being hospitalized in March, Cordero was misdiagnosed with pneumonia, put in a medically induced coma, had his right leg amputated and experienced severe heart and lung damage.) “I am in disbelief and hurting everywhere,” Cordero’s wife, Amanda Kloots, mom to their 1-year-old son, Elvis, said in an emotional Instagram post. “My heart is broken, as I cannot imagine our lives without him.” Fans and peers alike closely followed the progress of the Tony-nominated Bullets Over Broadway star and rallied for his recovery.
