The actress will unmask Sacha Baron Cohen’s harassment in her memoir
Rebel Wilson sent shock waves through Hollywood when she named Sacha Baron Cohen as the “massive a**hole” that she plans to expose in her upcoming memoir, Rebel Rising. “I will not be bullied or silenced with high-priced lawyers or PR crisis managers,” she wrote in a March 25 Insta story. “The ‘a**hole’ that I am talking about in one chapter of my book is Sacha Baron Cohen.” Prior to the revelation, Wilson, 44 (who starred with Cohen in 2016’s
The Brothers Grimsby), alleged that she was being harassed by the actor,
52, claiming he tried to prevent press on her book from coming out. While a rep for Cohen denied Wilson’s accusations — “these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby,” they said in a statement to Us — this is not the first time Wilson has accused Cohen of questionable behavior. “Every day he’s like, ‘Just go naked, it will be funny.’ And I’m like, ‘No!’” Wilson said in 2014 of working with Cohen. She also charged that while filming the movie’s final scene, he asked her to “stick my finger in [his] butt” for “a really funny bit.” According to Wilson, all may come to light soon. “The book WILL come out,” she promised, “and you will all know the truth.”
