She Says Matty Healy Ghosted Her

-

While fans expected Alwyn to bear the brunt of Swift’s heartache tracks, the 1975 frontman seems to be featured in at least four songs, including “The Tortured Poets Department,” “Down Bad” and “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” in which she accuses an ex of “rusting my sparkling summer” adding, “You tried to buy some pills from a friend of friends of mine/They just ghosted you/Now you know what it feels like.” In “But Daddy I Love Him,” Swift appears to address the backlash she encountered after linking up with Healy, who came under fire for racist and misogynist comments before they hooked up in May 2023. (Swift and Healy, 35, had previously been linked in 2014.) “I know he’s crazy but he’s the one I want … He was chaos, he was revelry/Bedroom eyes like a remedy,” she sings, calling out “vipers” who urged her to ditch him. A family friend of Healy’s tells Us the musician was relieved after hearing the album. “Matty’s family was worried Taylor was going to rip him apart,” says the source, noting that the rocker was “really appreciative” to receive a heads-up from Swift’s team ahead of TTPD’s release. “The last thing he needs is for every Swiftie in the world to think he’s a villain. Matty still thinks very highly of Taylor.”
