This Baltimore cop wasn’t the one at fault
Baltimore police officer Edward Nero was acquitted of all charges on Monday in the case of Freddie Gray, who died in police custody in 2015.
Sending an innocent man to prison is not justice; that is an injustice. In this case, there may be other officers who should be held responsible, but this officer is not one of them. Michael Grubb
There is a big difference between civil and criminal wrongdoing, and you don't need one to have the other. While officers may not be found criminally liable, they certainly failed to secure the suspect in the van per department protocol, and that is negligence. Rick Baker
Not guilty! Nero should have never been charged. I hope he sues the state of Maryland. David Stevens
This makes sense. Officer Nero was overcharged. There was no way he was guilty of the charges against him. If people have a problem with this outcome, they should blame the prosecutor in Baltimore. Jim Reid
Black people are being executed at the hands of the folks who took an oath to protect and serve all of us as human beings. The judges have too much power, and most of the executioners walk scot- free.
The whole criminal justice
system needs to be reformed, dismantled and smashed down to benefit blacks as well.
Marc Tertel
Justice has no purpose, where no crime has been committed. Philip Iadevaia
We knew he was going to get off. They are wasting taxpayer money. The family got their payday. Move on. Rodd Johnson
Two trials: one mistrial and the other an acquittal. All other trials should be dropped. Randy Doremus
Officer Edward Nero is a hero to the law- abiding residents of Balitmore. He removed a drug dealer from the streets. Kristen Cooper

That black lives don't matter, and there is no such thing as justice for all. @ YaaSays
Freddie Gray's treatment was deplorable, but there was no intention to kill him. I believe the prosecutor overcharged. @ TennRobt
The systemic racial problems within police departments and the justice system must be addressed immediately! @ JeffOstach
A judge heard all the facts, considered them and ultimately felt that the prosecution did not prove its case. Period. @ THEDaleJunior
