Colin Kaepernick is right to protest racial inequality. However, not standing to respect our nation and what the anthem stands for is totally wrong. Larry McClish

The only people who I see mad at this is white people. I’m not trying to race bait, just want to know why you ladies and gentlemen are so upset? I mean, the veterans fought for his freedom of expression, so why so bitter? Allan Watson

Title 36 of the U. S. Code says that during a rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, those present should stand facing the flag with their right hand over the heart. Clear or not? Alejandro Ivimas- Cuarez

Kaepernick should stand up and show the people of this great nation how they should act, and not by sitting down and crying about it. If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem. Of course, he probably should get used to sitting on the bench. I think his 15 minutes are up. Bill Leonard

Kaepernick does realize that hundreds of thousands of black people have served in our country’s military and it’s extremely disrespectful to do that?

That’s an ignorant move. What a disgrace. There are better ways to voice your views than that. Brent Palmer
