Worse than Russia probe is constant lying

-

LETTERS LETTERS@USATODAY.COM

I think what troubles me (and most of the people I know) about the Trump administration, and this latest appearance by Attorney General Jeff Sessions before Congress, is that seemingly everyone remotely associated with the president feels the need to lie about everything.

It is not a crime to simply talk to the Russians.

But come on people, just tell the truth about it. It seems impossible for this bunch (from the top down) to do that one simple thing.

How in the world are we, as American citizens, expected to have faith in this “leadership”?

The Watergate break-in was a bungled burglary.

The incident and subsequent lies about it cost a president his position and worldwide respect.

I am sick of this bunch!

It seems like Attorney General Jeff Sessions commits perjury every time he appears in front of Congress. It’s like a bad habit for him. He keeps “suddenly remembering” and engaging in a bunch of parsing and lawyer speak. He’s not gonna be attorney general for very long.

What Sessions is doing is digging a deeper hole for himself. Special counsel Robert Mueller’s listening, and he’s used to dealing with liars.

Some people are still clinging to the hope that there was a Russian conspiracy involving the Trump campaign to sway the 2016 election.

I feel bad for people who are waiting for a smoking gun. It’s probably going to be a very miserable seven more years for them. Jackson Wilson
