Trump’s behaving like an untrained dog
As I watch Sen. Rand Paul and other Republicans attempt to “clean up” President Trump’s latest blunder condemning many would-be immigrants, it brings to mind what it must be like for a dog owner who loves his dog, but the pooch is just not housebroken. We are back to cleaning up!
And then when you look at Trump’s harsh judgment of immigrants, you can’t help but think of his grandfather who arrived in the U.S. as a teenager and who during the Gold Rush operated one of the most notorious brothels of its time. So, maybe these Republican apologists when excusing Trump should take the Broadway approach: It’s hard out there for the grandson of a pimp. Norman Bender

Former White House spokesperson Sean Spicer told us he regretted lying about the size of the inauguration crowd. Trump constantly make liars out of everyone around him.

But don’t you just love that Trump wasn’t lying about what he’d do if he was elected? The guy is doing awesome work! The rest of it? Eh, who cares? Dana Holgate
We have been pummeled so frequently by Trump’s lies, half-truths, hyperbole, self-promotion, bragging and boasting that we have been numbed by it and have come to expect it like a dog’s bark — it’s just what he does.

I don’t understand why the president can’t conduct himself with a little dignity. It has progressed (regressed?) to the point that it’s ridiculous. This is not how a world leader behaves. Other countries have certainly taken notice. He is held to the same standards of decorum as previous presidents. His constant falsehoods, exaggerations, embellishments, non sequiturs and crude attacks should not be accepted as normal. Trump supporters need to hold him accountable.
