Daniels team offers sketch and reward in 2011 threat
WASHINGTON – Stormy Daniels and her lawyer on Tuesday released a sketch of the man she said threatened her seven years ago to keep quiet about an alleged affair with Donald Trump.
During a live appearance on ABC’s The
View, Daniels’ lawyer, Michael Avenatti, said they are offering a $100,000 reward for information about the man.
Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, has said the man threatened her in 2011, a few weeks after she agreed to tell the story of her alleged tryst to
Touch Weekly magazine.
In an interview last month with
Minutes, Daniels said she was in a Las Vegas parking lot, going to a fitness class with her infant daughter, when “a guy walked up on me and said to me, ‘Leave Trump alone. Forget the story.’
“And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, ‘That’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom.’ And then he was gone.”
Daniels told The View her decision to speak out about Trump has meant more business as she tours the country with her strip club routine, but it has come at a steep price. Someone recently approached her family, she said, and told her: “Your child should be euthanized.”
She said she’s had to hire a tutor for her daughter and bodyguards: “It’s downright scary a lot of times.”
Why talk now, especially as Trump’s team claims that she faces up to $20 million in damages for violating the confidentiality agreement?
“I’m done being bullied,” she said.
