Israel cancels expulsions of African migrants

The Israeli government acknowledged in a statement to the country’s Supreme Court that it cannot expel African migrants against their will, and it canceled all pending deportation orders. “It is not possible to implement expulsions to a third country without (migrants’) consent,” the statement said.
