PGA Tour title tournament host Phil Mickelson is chasing in this week’s American Express. The member of the World Golf Hall of Fame turned 50 last year and won twice on the PGA Tour Champions circuit. With a victory this weekend, he’d become the seventholdest player to win a PGA Tour event.

Golf Channel’s coverage of Thursday’s first round will feature defending champion Andrew Landry playing with Patrick Reed and Gary Woodland ( 1: 40 ET). Last weekend’s winner, Kevin Na, is out with Matthew Wolff and Tony Finau
( 1: 50). Friday’s coverage will feature Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, Rickie Fowler and Patrick Cantlay.

Sony Open winner Na jumped into the top 10 with his fifth PGA Tour title. The 2020- 21 wraparound season features 50 events, including six major championships, and culminates with the seasonending Tour Championship, the FedExCup Playoffs finale Sept. 2- 5 at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. Dustin Johnson is the defending champion.
