Brian Dozier, Twins

-

The 29-year-old second baseman had eight home runs through 68 games on June 24 and seemed highly unlikely to match the career-high 28 he hit last season. But Dozier went on a tear and hasn’t cooled off. He went deep 20 times in his next 49 games to raise his total to 28. He also was hitting .266 with a .870 on-base-plus-slugging percentage through Sunday and was on pace to become the second player in franchise history with three consecutive 100-run seasons (Chuck Knoblauch, 1995 to 1997)). Dozier has three consecutive seasons with at least 20 home runs and has a total of 79 in that span.
