Diggs picks up slack for ailing Peterson
These players saw their fantasy football values increase or decrease most based on their performances in Week 2: SIZZLERS FIZZLERS
WR Stefon Diggs, Minnesota Vikings: Diggs put on a show, as he was routinely open and easily slipped out of tackles. He caught nine of his 11 targets for 182 yards in a hard-fought win against the Green Bay Packers.
WR Travis Benjamin, San Diego Chargers: With Keenan Allen lost for the season and Danny Woodhead succumbing to a knee injury early against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Benjamin responded with 115 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
WR Corey Coleman, Cleveland Browns: The Browns selected Coleman 15th overall as the first wide receiver in the draft. His 104 yards and two touchdowns against the Baltimore Ravens are evidence that he has come a long way in a short time.
QB Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons: The Falcons outlasted the Oakland Raiders in a high-scoring affair as Ryan was spectacular, throwing for 396 yards and three touchdowns with only eight incompletions.
RB Matt Forte, New York Jets: Forte looked like a true workhorse with 30 rushing attempts and three touchdowns in a win against the Buffalo Bills. With 59 touches through two weeks, he’s on pace for a ridiculous season total of 472.
WR Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers: Not only has he already been fined twice this season, but now his quarterback can’t seem to find him. Brown caught just four of his 11 targets in what we assume will turn out to be a bad day at the office.
WR Allen Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars: The Chargers defense did a nice job of bottling up Jaguars receivers. Robinson never found separation until much later in the game, when San Diego went into prevent mode.
WR DeSean Jackson, Washington Redskins: Quarterback Kirk Cousins has not opened this season as strongly as he closed 2015. Washington receivers have been paying the price.
WR Golden Tate, Detroit Lions: Catching two of nine targets for 13 yards is not going to cut it. Until the Lions can use Tate more effectively, be leery of this situation.
RB Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings: After back-toback difficult performances to open the season, Peterson was helped off the field with a torn meniscus. He should only miss a game or two, but there wasn’t a lot going on statistically to begin with.
