Mike Trout, Angels

It didn’t take long — about two weeks — for Trout to again put himself in the American League MVP conversation. Trout, who won the award last year for the second time, is among the leaders this season in the Wins Above Replacement (WAR) category. Through Sunday, Trout was hitting .304 with eight extra-base hits, three of which were home runs, and 10 RBI. The All-Star center fielder has made several outstanding defensive plays, too.
