PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
Adam Eaton, Nationals
Plenty of people questioned the Nationals when they gave up three players, including two of their best pitching prospects, in a December trade for Eaton. The early results were encouraging, though. Eaton had a .452 on-base percentage and scored nine runs in the first nine games of the season and teamed with Trea Turner to give the Nationals a strong 1-2 punch atop the order. Eaton took over as the leadoff hitter when Turner went on the disabled list because of a hamstring strain.
