PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
Julio Urias, Dodgers
A young standout pitcher, Urias will make his 2017 Dodgers debut this week, perhaps at the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday. The Dodgers, easing the journey so the 20-year-old can be stronger later this year, started out Urias in extended spring training. Then he made three starts in the Pacific Coast League, logging a 1.93 ERA. He recorded a 3.39 ERA for Los Angeles last year, making 15 starts in 18 games. The Dodgers have hinted they might return Urias to the minors to manage his innings total.
