Packers’ keys to victory: As long as QB Aaron Rodgers can stand upright on that balky knee, Green Bay will have a chance to win every game. The key in this one, as is the case every week, is keeping Rodgers comfortable in the pocket. The knee brace didn’t hinder him much in Week 2 — he was mobile — but the less he must move, the better. Green Bay’s offensive line, particularly the tackles, must keep the likes of Ryan Kerrigan and Jonathan Allen off of Rodgers. The running game will be an even larger factor with RB Aaron Jones returning from suspension.

Redskins’ keys to victory: QB Alex Smith has been as good as the Redskins thought he’d be, but the offense must be sharper than it was in Week 2, which is difficult when the run game can’t set up the play-action pass. RB Adrian Peterson was limited to 20 yards on 11 carries, and RB Chris Thompson was Smith’s favorite target. WRs Josh Doctson and Jamison Crowder must win against the Packers’ revamped secondary.

Matchup to watch: Packers FS Ha Ha Clinton-Dix vs. Redskins TE Jordan Reed. Reed is an X factor for the Redskins, especially considering how successful Smith was targeting TE Travis Kelce during his time with the Chiefs. Clinton-Dix has regressed some, but he has the skill set to match up with Reed.

Who wins? The Packers are just too good with Rodgers on the field, even when limping. The defense is underrated, too, especially at cornerback with rookies Jaire Alexander and Josh Jackson.

Packers, 27-21
