Cowboys’ keys to victory: The Cowboys will be unveiling WR Amari Cooper after acquiring the former Oakland Raider for their 2019 first-round pick. Dallas’ passing offense has been stifled, and opponents have dared QB Dak Prescott to throw. Prescott’s accuracy has been a big issue, and Cooper’s arrival should give him a target who can separate from defenders. The focus will also be on the offensive line as cooach Marc Colombo replaces Paul Alexander. Colombo has been assistant offensive line coach since 2016. The three-headed linebacker rotation, led by Jaylon Smith will have to contain RBs Dion Lewis and Derrick Henry.
Titans’ keys to victory: Tennessee must get Marcus Mariota going; the fourth-year quarterback hasn’t been doing a good job of persuading the Titans he’s a longterm solution. Second-year WR Corey Davis hasn’t been able to provide the consistent threat the Titans hoped, and no Titans receiver has more than one TD reception. He’ll have to create operating room against Byron Jones, who has become one of the league’s best corners in his return to the position. On defense, Tennessee has just 15 sacks as a team.
Matchup to watch: Titans DT Jurrell Casey vs. Cowboys RG Zack Martin. Casey is Tennessee’s top pass-rushing threat and a load in the defensive interior. Keeping him out of the way as RB Ezekiel Elliott tries to get going also will be key for Dallas.
Who wins? Dallas moves its home winning streak to four games — rather easily.
