Cardinals’ keys to victory: Odds are they will be able to move the ball against a struggling Giants secondary, so Arizona could earn a road victory if its defense is passable. But that might become a larger challenge with the expectation that RB Saquon Barkley will return from his high ankle sprain. The Cardinals will have to sell out on stopping Barkley, forcing the Giants to rely on the arm of rookie QB Daniel Jones, who has become more turnover prone.

Giants’ keys to victory: Although the Giants’ defense has fought much harder in recent weeks, it’s still prone to giving up chunk plays, particularly through the air. Now it will be tasked with stopping WR Larry Fitzgerald and keeping Cardinals QB Kyler Murray near the line of scrimmage.

Matchup to watch: Cardinals LG Justin Pugh, C A.Q. Shipley and RG J.R. Sweezy vs. Giants NT Dexter Lawrence. Earlier in the season, Lawrence was on the field for roughly 35% of the Giants’ defensive snaps per game, leading some to believe they had, in fact, made a mistake in banking on the rookie being a three-down lineman. Now, almost at the midseason mark, Lawrence has not only proved himself capable of playing on all three downs, but dominating on all three downs. He will square off with a former Giant (Pugh), a struggling center (Shipley) and an average guard (Sweezy).

Who wins? These are two rebuilding teams relying heavily on younger players. However, the Giants have made more progress.
